The neighbourhood citizens' forum is actively working to build more greener patches nearby, which will enhance everyone's quality of life.

ECP based Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Neco Beaumont
 
Due to insufficient public infrastructure in Pune, it is mandatory for all large projects to have their own Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for recycling domestic waste water from toilets and kitchens for re-use in flushing and gardening. A project with 200 flats typically would generate 1 lakh litres of waste water per day, which can be re-used within the project. If this water is to be purchased using water tankers, it would cost Rs. 10,000 per day.
 
 
The problem with most STP technologies that are widely installed today are that they’re dependant on Aerobic Biological Treatment, where bacteria/microbes/biomass are used for the primary treatment of the waste water. As the waste water is being treated by a living biomass, it is very important to ensure that sufficient amount of oxygen is being aerated into the tanks along with sufficient amount of food, which is why a skilled operator is required to run such systems at all times. Such systems have to run continuously 24x7x365 days and need to maintain biomass concentration, pH and temperature in the wastewater for better performance. As it becomes very difficult for ordinary housing societies to maintain these parameters with accuracy, problems of discolouration and foul odour are commonly found in the treated water. The cost of running such an STP for a project with 200 flats is approximately Rs. 4000/day or Rs. 15 lakhs/annum.

As a responsible real estate developer, it would be wrong on our part to provide an STP, which the society would find expensive to maintain. Hence, we are providing an STP with a different technology – Electrocoagulation & Precipitation, which costs more to install but is significantly less expensive to run because it is fully automatic and much simpler to use. Electric current treats waste water in an electrolytic chamber without the assistance of living things like bacteria/microorganisms/biomass. As a result, there is no need for a full-time operator, and the entire water treatment process is fully automated. Like the Aquaguard water purifiers in our homes, its operation is as simple as plugging it in and using it. The cost of running such an Electrolytic Coagulation based STP for a project with 200 flats is approximately Rs. 1200/day or Rs. 4 lakhs/annum, which is 70% lesser than conventional STPs.

A Building – RCC completed, 95% brickwork completed, internal gypsum in progress, electrical work in progress, plumbing work in progress, waterproofing work in progress, tiling work in progress.
 
B Building – RCC completed, Brickwork completed, Internal gypsum completed, Waterproofing work completed, Flooring work completed, electrical work in progress, plumbing work in progress, door fixing in progress, painting in progress, lift works in progress.
 
Project – Main Gate civil works completed, Compound wall completed, Transformer room finishing in progress, Club House RCC works in progress.
Outside the Project – The 24m DP road is partly completed with 8m two-lane road tarring done. The PMC drinking water and MNGL gas pipelines have been laid.
